Where music meets the culture. Celebrating the sounds behind the culture.
Live DJs, producer spotlights and artist interviews, out in the daylight. It’s more than a party. It’s an experience.
What is IDP
Built around live DJs, instrumentals, producer showcases, artist conversations and daytime experiences.
Sets built on instrumentals, from classic breaks to brand-new production.
Producers play their own beats, straight from the people who made them.
Conversations about how the music gets made and the stories behind it.
A party that starts in the sun, made for meeting people and trading ideas.
Manifesto
Every record you love started as an instrumental.
Before the hook, before the verse, before the video, somebody sat with a drum machine and a loop until it felt right.
IDP is for that moment, and for the people who make it.
Established in 2021, Instrumental Day Party is a music and lifestyle experience celebrating the sounds, creativity, and people behind the music.
Built around live DJs, instrumentals, producer showcases, artist conversations, and daytime experiences, IDP creates a space where music lovers and creatives can connect beyond the traditional party scene.
From classic sounds to emerging production, IDP shines a spotlight on the art of making music, the stories behind the beats, and the culture that brings people together.
IDP is a platform for producers, DJs, artists, and music enthusiasts to celebrate the foundation of music: the instrumental.
Run of show
Every edition is different, but the shape stays the same: start in the sun, end with the people who make the music.
The party starts while the sun is still up. Grab a drink, find your people, and let the first selector ease everyone in with warm, open instrumentals.
Live DJs work through instrumentals old and new: soul breaks, boom bap, beat-scene cuts and brand-new production, mixed for a room that came to listen and to move.
Producers take the decks and play their own beats. You hear the work straight from the people who made it, often before it’s out anywhere else.
A short, unhurried sit-down with an artist or producer about how the music gets made: the samples, the sessions, and the stories behind the beats.
The light drops, the sets get deeper, and the room that walked in as strangers leaves trading numbers, links and ideas.
Interactive
Go on, make one. The top row is drums, the rest are bass and keys, all in the same key so nothing sounds wrong.
Sound on. Keys 1–4, Q–R, A–F, Z–V
For producers & DJs
IDP exists to put producers and DJs in front of people who care how music is made. If that’s you, we want to hear from you.
Send a link to your beats or a recent set (SoundCloud, Bandcamp, YouTube, a private link is fine), where you’re based, and a line about what you make.
Send your musicFor brands
IDP brings together producers, DJs, artists and the people who follow them closely: a creative, music-first crowd that shows up in the daytime and stays for the details.
Put your name on an IDP edition, with presence across the day, the room and everything we share around it.
Let producers and guests get hands-on with your instruments, software or headphones while the music plays.
Become part of the daytime experience itself, from the bar to the merch table.
Back the conversations and producer spotlights, filmed and shared beyond the day.
